Traveling can be stressful. Trying to make sure you’ve packed everything, getting through that big security line, making sure your bags meet the weight requirement, and not knowing if you’ll have vegan food options once you get to the airport. So why not try and make it as easy as possible? Use the time to relax and pamper. Whether it’s a short or a long haul flight all of these essentials help me make the most out of the journey. Here are 9 items that can make your flight as enjoyable as it can be.
Being on flights can really mess with your skin. The reticulated air can make your skin very dry. Especially if you are flying for more then a couple hours. To help out your skin apply a very hydrating face mask the night before your flight. On the plane bring face wipes to take off your makeup or freshen up, a moisturizer to keep the moisture in your skin and an eye cream to help puffy eyes. One of my favorite skincare brands is Yes To. The daily moisturizer is a favorite of mine!
One of the first things I do when I get on the plane is put on a pair of fluffy socks. It makes me feel so much more comfortable – especially on a long haul flight. Make sure to have these easily accessible! Keep in your purse if possible.
Vegan Energy Bars
You never know what you’ll be able to find to eat in an airport. So I like to be prepared by bringing a few light snacks. Vegan bars are extremely helpful to have around. My all time favorite bars are the GoMacro Bars. Throw a couple in your travel bag and you’re good to go.
New Music Playlist
In the week leading up to your flight start making a new playlist. Choose your favorite songs, old classics and new ones you haven’t heard yet. Don’t listen to it until you get on the plane so you can be excited for it! I like to use Spotify. Make sure you make the songs available offline when you still have wifi.
Keeping your mouth fresh is very important, especially on a plane. One of my favorite gum brands is PUR Gum. They are GMO free and aspartame free. Of course they are also vegan!
Bring a magazine to read. What better then a vegan magazine? I love subscribing to this magazine. I can read every issue front to back.
Everyone knows that airplanes can be carrying a lot of bacteria and germs. Make sure you are germ free by bringing hand sanitizer. I love this Dr. Bronner’s Organic one. It smells amazing.
This is always a must have for me. I like to tie a check shirt around my waist to have a light extra layer. You can tie it around your waist, wear it, or even use it as an extra pillow.
Your Favorite Tea Bags
I don’t really ever enjoy the tea or coffee they serve on a plane. But I love having a warm comforting drink. So I like to bring my own favorite tea bags with me. When the staff are serving drinks ask for hot water to use for your tea. One of my favorite teas is the Tazo Peachy Green Tea.
