I can’t believe that it’s already March! The year 2016 is flying by.
In the month of February I fell in love with a lot of different items. From skincare to notebooks I have plenty of exciting things to show you. Of course these are all cruelty free.
SAY YES TO TOMATOES-DAILY BALANCING MOISTURIZER
I was having a hard time finding a moisturizer for the morning that I liked. Everything tended to be too thin and not give out enough moisture. I was very happy to find this. This gives just the right amount of moisture without making my makeup slide right off my face. It contains antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties to help keep the skin clean and clear. Yes To products are petroleum, SLS, parabens, and of course cruelty free. Yes To also has product collections like Yes To Cucumber, Yes To Grapefruit, Yes To Coconut and a few others.
NYX-HD PHOTOGENIC CONCEALER WAND
This is the only concealer I’ve been using for my under eyes whenever I wear makeup this past month. It is one of the best concealers I’ve ever used. It really hides my under eye darkness and blends out really nicely. It does crease on me but I’m very prone to that so I’ve never been able to avoid that. I just have to set it right away with a translucent powder.
IT’S A 10-MIRACLE LEAVE-IN PRODUCT
I first found this after getting a sample of it from Ulta. I wasn’t going to try it until I saw the leaping bunny logo on the back. After the first time I tried it I fell in love. This made my hair so soft, smooth and easy to brush out (my hair is pretty long so it gets tangled really often and easily)
TOO FACED-BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION
I always have a hard time spending the extra money on foundations. Even though if you’re going to spend more on a makeup product foundation is really the best thing to spend a little more on. The base of the makeup is the most important part! Born This Way is a medium to full coverage foundation. The first layer on me is medium coverage so I’ll add an extra layer in certain areas to get the full coverage. This looks so natural on my skin. I’ll use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply the foundation then really blend it out with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for a very natural coverage.
BURT’S BEES-CUCUMBER + SAGE FACIAL CLEANSING TOWELETTES
I don’t actually use these on my face very often (only if I’m way too tired to do my usual double cleanse to get my makeup off). I’ll actually use them after a workout when I’m driving home. I use one on my neck, back and arms just to feel a little fresher for the journey home. Also if I want to go shopping or meet someone after I’ll keep them in my bag so I can freshen up.
URBAN DECAY-24/7 GLIDE ON EYE PENCIL (PERVERSION)
I used to wear eyeliner all the time but for a couple of years I haven’t. I started wearing it again this month after I got this eyeliner. This is very creamy, easy to blend and waterproof. The thing I love about eyeliner is you can really manipulate your eyes to look the way you want them to. I haven’t worn this for 24 hours so can’t vouch for that but it does last a long time on me.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS-TINTED BROW GEL
I can’t imagine using anything other then this on my brows! It is hands down my favorite thing to use for my brows. It locks the hairs into place without feeling waxy, adds subtle color and you can build up the product. When I go for a more intense brow I’ll use NYX Micro Brow Pencil with it.
NATURES GATE-AWAPUHI GINGER + HOLY BASIL VOLUMIZING SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
I’ve been using this shampoo & conditioner for a month now and its really made a difference to my hair. My hair is usually pretty flat so this has really added volume of my hair. The love the brand Natures Gate because they are very focused on clean, sustainable, safe products. They contain no parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, lanolin, petrolatum, or phthalates.
THE REPUBLIC OF TEAS-GET GORGEOUS (HERB TEA FOR CLEAR SKIN)
I love the taste of this tea so much and I did notice some difference in my skin after drinking this a good few times. This tea is caffeine-free with antioxidants to give clear skin from within. It made with rooibos, orange, hibiscus, and chamomile. Some of my favorite things to have in tea!
PICCADILLY-BE INSPIRED JOURNAL
This book is so great to inspire you to write. It has quotes on every page to get those writing juices flowing. It so many things written in it to get me thinking. I love writing in it as often as I can. At night before I go to bed is the best time for me. Even though we are making our way through the year we can still carry on those New Years resolutions. If it was to be more creative or to write more this will be the book for you.
So those were the things I’ve really been enjoying in the month of February. I hope you can find a few things you’ve never tried before or you have tried and want to rediscover.
