I am visiting Britain at the moment to see family. I of course wanted to go and a shopping spree! I went to the mall (or shopping center as they call it in Britain) and had a fun girly shop with some family members. I was very excited when I got close to the Boots store! My family thought I was a little crazy because of course they get Boots all over the place here. It is a pharmacy, drugstore, beauty type store. I love Boots! They’ve got many mainstream more expensive beauty brands and some more affordable ones as well.
I wanted to find some skincare products and foundation. I purchased from the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Skin products and the No7 brand for makeup which are both Boots own brand. I was looking at the No7 brand section which was right in front of the entrance of the shop. I looked to see if it had any of the approved cruelty-free vegan logos on the back side, because at the the back of my mind I thought I remembered that I read they were cruelty free. I couldn’t see it on any of the packaging so I asked the lady who was looking after that section of the store.
She said that she couldn’t say for sure so she’d check. She looked on her computer and after a few minutes she told me that all of the Boots branded products are cruelty-free. So they do not test any of their products on animals.
I decided I would find some No7 foundation. I’ve always had a hard time finding the right shade of foundation for my skin. I have always bought too dark. As I was looking the lovely lady asked whether I needed anymore help. So I said I was just looking to see what shade of foundation I should get. She then suggested that I try the No7 Match Made Service which is a system they have. They have a device that takes a picture of your skin tone and will match to one of the many color selections. I was matched to warm ivory. So that was what I purchased. No7 was on a 3 for 2 sale so I also decided to try a primer and a brow kit.
I also wanted to get a few skincare things since the things I’ve brought aren’t working very well at the moment. I had tried a couple of things few years ago from the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel skincare. I remembered that I had quite liked it. It was on a buy 1 get 1 free offer. They had plenty of products to try from. I was very intrigued by the concealer with the tea tree and witch hazel. So it conceals while reducing the problem area.
